Service Dog
In 2019 I was embarking my life long dream of participating in the Disney College Program working for Walt Disney World. But sadly it got cut short on June 16th, 2019. I was a passenger in a car accident & while we were pulled to the side we were rear ended by a “careless” driver going 95 mph. This accident resulted in me sustaining a Spinal Cord Injury which left me paralyzed from the neck down.
I lost all of my independence. I have to rely on my family and caregivers to help me with the little things. With trying to get back my independence so I have less human interaction I could use a dog's help.
I applied to ECAD for a special trained service dog to help assist with my needs!
For me having an ECAD Service Dog would take the feeling of being a burden off my shoulders. Independence of not having to ask for the little things like opening doors, being there for me when I am sad, picking up my mouth stick when I drop it and so much more!
I’m so grateful for ECAD in providing me a special dog.& Im over the moon for a dog that will be trained specifically to help ME! Thank you all for helping me get some of my independence back! I greatly appreciate everyone’s generous support!<3
